Came across this site and thought I’d share, but most of you history types probably already know about it.
Leave it to PBS to come up with such a great educational resource. But this site goes way beyond a simple place to go for information. It’s got three main sections:

This site is massive, featuring almost 79,000 images in 2,656 categories … all are high-resolution, presentation-ready images. Just came across this amazing piece of software – open source, completely free – that allows you to run your own planetarium on a PC. I kid you not! Stellarium (http://stellarium.sourceforge.net/) is an AMAZING program that renders realisitic skies (day or night) in real time.
