  • Classtools.net: great Flash activities (or create your own!)

    Good morning everyone!

Today’s featured site, ClassTools.net, comes to us by way of Diigo user Brandi Caldwell who recently shared it with her network. Thanks Brandi!

ClassTools.net provides a collection of ready-to-use Flash applications ideal for use with an interactive whiteboard (or individual laptops), but it also allows you (or your students) to create activities using four provided templates: Manic Miner, like Dig-Dug; Cannonball Fun, utilizing angles and velocity; Word Shoot, like Space Invaders; and Matching Pairs.

Admittedly, the games are fairly simplistic, but to me that makes them ideal for use by elementary students! I can envision them being used to review for exams or as a year-end activity.

The pre-prepared activities are terrific too, varied and well designed. They are just waiting for you and your interactive whiteboard! Check out ClassTools.net today!

    Hope this helps,

  1. Thanks for the post, can’t wait to explore!

  2. Thanks for the link. We have invested in Kagan software tools (had to purchase individual licenses for teachers) because we had a former administrator that was pushing it. The administrator spent over $1000 and now I find these tools that will do the same thing…without having to install them and manage individual licenses.

    Thanks again,

    Jay

  3. Hi Jay,

Well, the good news is you now have similar tools that can be used free throughout the district! :)
