Hi everyone,

“The best laid plans…” It was all going so well … had my two laptops humming, one broadcasting, the other managing the stream and backchannel (I really need a USB camera for my Macbook) … and then, my Macbook battery died. Awesome! I managed to record the remaining portion with my Eee PC, didn’t lose TOO much, but the quality on BOTH recordings is pretty poor, I do apologize, again, next time I’ll have proper #$%$#%@@#$ equipment. :/

Anyway, for what they’re worth, here are the UStream archives. I really, really enjoyed his presentation, “Five Technologies for the Next Five Years.” Pogue is really funny and incredibly talented, it’s clear why he makes The Big Money writing for the Times. I’d like to thank everyone who came into the backchannel, I’d hoped we’d be able to ask him some questions, but he didn’t do Q&A, he launched into some AMAZING song parodies though, DEFINITELY watch the end of the second clip. I know they are on YouTube also, I’ll try and collect some links and post them here. Anyone else who feels up to it, please do so, and comment here!
