Good morning all,

Today’s featured site comes to us by way of the prolific Richard Byrne of Free Technology for Teachers. If you are not reading his blog, you need to start, today, because he finds outstanding resources!

Fun4theBrain.com is a terrific collection of totally free, original, high-quality, flash-based interactives for K-6 students studying Math, Science and English:

Hammy the Hamster is worth a visit in his own right, he responds to your mouse movement and you can feed him by clicking, it’s very realistic and kids will love him. :) This site has dedicated sections for Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, as well as Science, English and a category “Just for Fun.” The games are all very high quality with colorful graphics, music and sound effects. Here’s a screenshot of a division game:

Scores are kept and reported at the end so kids can track their progress. The activities won’t TEACH concepts but are good for review and reinforcement, and could easily be utilized as a whole-class activity with an interactive whiteboard. Check out Fun4theBrain.com today!
