Good morning all!
Today is our last day of school. I’m sad to see the kids leave for summer but am happy for them at the same time. There is nothing quite like that feeling on the last day of school. Nothing at all!
I’ve been busy preparing my “Summer eBoard,” a collection of the best websites I used over the course of the year. You can find my eBoard here:
http://kjarrett.northfield.site.eboard.com
Along the way, I came across KizClub.com, and amazing collection of language arts activities involving ABC’S, phonics, crafts, stories and more – some using the computer, some not (printables!). It is a great site to use all summer long for review and reinforcement.
Enjoy your summer! I’ll still be here, posting from time to time, and maybe might even thow in a few suprises, possibly a site redesign. We’ll see. For now, it’s back to the gleeful controlled chaos that is the last 1/2 day of school. Gleeful for the students – but sad for me – I’m going to miss these kids! :(
Best, kj

Your web-site is awesome and I will definitely be checking it out later in the year. I teach PK in Houston, Texas, and have been exploring a lot more on line for my students. What is out there is incredible and the kids really enjoy the computer.
I found you by checking out the Kizclub stories; what other sites are out there for kids to hear stories online? I have found a few but not too many that are easy for four and five year olds to navigate around in independently.
Thnanks for sharing your talents with all the rest of us, keep up the great work!
Hello Theresa! Thanks for the kind words and I am glad you like my blog!
This site doesn’t have books like KizClub but there are many great activities for early readers, particularly in the phonics section:

Here’s another one, a Korean site, teaching kids how to read English:

And here are some others you probably already know about:

Hope this helps!
