I wrote about newsletter making software a bit ago, but this application is so cool it deserves mention as well, especially with the approach of the holiday season. LetterPop.com lets you create very professional looking newsletters with photos you upload (or link from Flickr) which are combined with premade layouts and text you add. POOF! Instant Holiday Family Letter, or Classroom Newsletter, flyer for a community function, just about anything!
The site features hundreds of cool layouts, neat image effects, and a simple user interface – anyone can do it! I say again, who needs Microsoft Publisher? :-)

This and the other online presentation options you’ve shared recently are also great for giving kids another engaging way to share their learning.
I think these are forms of digital story-telling, and digital story-telling is better than gold for our students who don’t have strong traditional academic skills.
